With kid-friendly adventures of all kinds, it’s no wonder that Cabarrus County has been a longtime favorite for family vacations. Kids of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers, have countless options for fun indoors, outdoors and any time of year.
Even the youngest race fan will enjoy a visit to legendary Charlotte Motor Speedway, home to major NASCAR and NHRA drag racing events, where they’ll find plenty of action even when it’s not race day. For underwater exploration, head to SEA LIFE Aquarium for close-up views of sharks, turtles, rays and tropical fish. Test your family’s luck panning for gold at Reed Gold Mine, site of the first documented gold discovery in 1799, where you can keep any gold you find. And at Great Wolf Lodge, known as “a cruise ship that lives on land,” you can have a full family vacation without even leaving the resort.
